For each serving:
1 tsp butter
1 slice bread
1 or 2 eggs
dash of salt (to taste)
2 slices of bacon, fried & crumbled or cooked ham, chopped (optional)
Melt butter in skillet. Break bread in small pieces & add to skillet, stirring until golden. Add remaining ingredients and scramble until set but not dry.

Yum! I haven't made spornge in years, but used to make it regularly. My kids loved it! Can't find a single image of a plate of spornge (and only this recipe, which is very much the way I used to make it, so adding one to your post might help people try it. Thanks for posting!
