Fruit "Syrup"

Ingredients

1 Tbsp cornstarch
1 cup unsweetened fruit juice (apple, grape, etc.)
1 tsp sugar or honey (optional)

Mix cornstarch into juice. Add sugar, if desired. Bring to a boil, stirring until thickened. (If using a microwave oven, cook on HI about 1 1/2 minutes.) Serve hot over pancakes or waffles.

Cinnamon Apple Syrup

Make apple juice "syrup". After syrup is thickened, add 2-4 medium apples, diced, and 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon. Cook until fruit is tender.

Try other fruits, such as pears, peaches, strawberries, blueberries, etc.
